LANSING, Mich. — REO Town welcomed a new store on Saturday. Voodoo’s World of Oddtiques has taken up residence inside the REO Town Marketplace with a combination of handmade items, antiques, taxidermy and collectibles.

“We started as a traveling show,” said John Harris, co-owner of the new store. “We drove around the state and other areas to, you know, go to flea markets, conventions, etc. When we had the opportunity to finally get a brick and mortar. jumped on it.”

Harris owns the store alongside his wife, Jenifer, who does most of the shopping.

“She’s got a terrific eye for buying weird, weird things you’ve never seen before,” Harris said. “It may be familiar, but you never knew what it was or you never saw it. this.”

The shop also offers works by local artists and homemade crafts. For the grand opening, the two featured paranormal speakers, tarot card readers and spiritual guidance.

“It’s just reading the signs that aren’t there. This is the summary of what I am doing here today,” said Aondreiel Daimonkios.

Daimonkios says he and Harris are good friends and he was happy to show off his skills at the grand opening.

“We unite in many thoughts and ideas,” he said. to complete each other. Anything I don’t do, I’ll send to him, and anything he doesn’t do, he’ll send to me. Symbiotic relationship.
