We sifted through the hundreds of items for sale on Facebook Marketplace in South East London and found some great summer bargains.

After browsing the much-loved Marketplace, we found some great summer deals, ranging from desk fans, barbecue equipment, and even sunscreen.
There’s no better time than now to buy a fan – especially as Britain heads into an extreme heat warning this coming week.
Market Place has a selection of fans for sale in South East London, all at different prices depending on fan size, length and speed.
In Orpington there is currently a desk fan on sale for £9 and the seller says it is in “excellent condition”.
In Erith a 29in tower fan is on sale for £26, and a vendor in Bexleyheath has a large 500mm fan on sale for £50.
2. Sun glasses
It goes without saying that sunglasses are a wardrobe essential, but the most important benefit of wearing sunglasses is that they protect your eyes from UV rays.
Whether you prefer basic, original or designer sunglasses, South East London offers a considerable amount of sunglasses.
We’ve found a number of luxury sunglasses in South East London, priced well below retail prices, starting at just £20.
In Bromley we found an unused pair of Ray Ban sunglasses on sale for just £20, some great Dune sunglasses for £14 and a pair of gold sunglasses for £3.
And for those who want their pooches to be the coolest in the park, we’ve also found pet sunglasses for sale in Orpington for £1.
Barbecues can be very expensive and hard to find, especially in the summer months when we all crave a grilled burger on a hot summer evening.
But Marketplace is full of unique, affordable barbecues that might be perfect for your next garden party.
Shoppers in Chislehurst can literally pick up a standard barbecue on sale now for just £15.
We’ve also found a great selection of portable barbecues, for those who prefer to cook away from home.
A folding barbecue is currently on the market for £20 in Beckenham, perfect for festival goers or camping enthusiasts.

If you’re a keen barbecue fan, a large stainless steel American barbecue is on sale in Bromley for £325, which includes 6 main burners, an infrared side burner and cooking space, all compacted into one barbecue.
4. Solar cream
Sunscreen is a summer essential for everyone, regardless of age.
High street sunscreen can sometimes be a bit overpriced, but never fear, Facebook Marketplace has some incredibly cheap listings in South East London.
An Avon rep in Bromley has advertised sunscreen for just £3 and offers to buy one, also getting a half price deal, meaning two bottles would cost just £4.50.
Hats aren’t just subjective in the summer, of course, but they’re a great statement for protecting the eyes and preventing skin damage from the sun in hot weather.
Hats are also a great way to regulate body temperature, especially for young children who may not be able to handle hot weather well.
Sellers in Erith, Welling and Belvedere have a selection of children’s summer hats, which cost just £2, and have different designs, colors and shapes for every child.
A vendor in Bexleyheath is currently offering vintage summer hats for sale at just £1, including Ping and Fitleist brands.
Stylish straw sun hats are also popular in south-east London, with a Sidcup seller advertising a brand new black pom pom hat from Next for just £10.
6. Bottles of water
You can never have too many water bottles, perhaps you’d like to gift your little one a personalized water bottle which a salesman in Bromley calls ‘perfect for keeping drinks cold’ at just £10 £ per bottle.
A seller in South East London has advertised a FREE bottle of Voss water on Marketplace – a great approach to helping the environment.
If you want to feel like you’ve just stepped out of the Love Island villa, then a vendor in Woolwich has some personalized Love Island skinny water bottles for sale for £4.
For cycling enthusiasts and gym-goers, a leak-proof sports drink bottle is on sale in Orpington for £3.
