E-commerce platform Marketplacer has created a holistic marketplace for wellness company True Woo, offering products and services targeting health conscious people – mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

The newly created marketplace is a one-stop-shop for anyone interested in alternative health practices. It also offers a curated line of products for healthcare practitioners, said Jason Wyatt, founder and CEO of Marketplacer.

“True Woo is building a platform to meet the growing desire of many people to take charge of their health and lifestyle,” said Adam Matheson, CEO of True Woo. “By leveraging the Marketplacer platform, the company was able to go from an initial idea to a full-fledged e-commerce site in just six months.”

Matheson says the company chose Marketplacer as the primary platform for its product offering because it could easily manage everything from integration and stock listings to order processing and fulfillment.

“Marketplacer also integrates tightly with other software providers on which we’ve built our front-end and practitioner offering,” says Matheson. “The result is a seamless customer experience that allows customers not only to choose from our wide range of curated product offerings and have their order delivered right to their doorstep, but also a range of wellness services, such as pre-recorded content, group lessons or one-on-one sessions that are provided online.

Matheson says Marketplacer’s engineering team has produced a clean, navigable site that’s popular with consumers.

True Woo’s long-term goal is to create a community of like-minded individuals who want to incorporate wellness into their daily lives.

“In the coming months, we will focus on bringing more products and practitioners to the platform; and building our base of reputable health resources, allowing the wellness ecosystem to thrive,” says Matheson.

Matheson recalls that the initial idea for True Woo came from company founder Rachel (Tonkin) Dur who was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2021 when she was 35.

She was struck by the lack of access to wellness information, products and practitioners, which she attributes to her ability to thrive during and after cancer treatment.

In response, Rachel founded the platform and is now focused on growing the business in Australia and internationally.

“By bringing the wellness community together, we hope more people will become aware of alternative approaches to health care and can easily access them,” says Dur. “True Woo will also allow people to discover products and services that may have gone under their radar before. I’m excited to shine a light on and support products and practitioners who are doing amazing things for people and the planet.
