By Joel Poultney (June 20, 2022 at 5:20pm BST) – A company that provides lines of credit to consumers has sued a complaints handling company for its alleged failure to properly investigate claims it made, accusing the defendant of violating its regulatory obligations to have violated and to bring unlawful charges.

SafetyNet Credit says in a recently released High Court file on June 9 that Impact Claims’ failure to properly investigate the charges against SafetyNet on behalf of consumers who claimed they were not eligible for credit left the company round £440,000 ($540,000) in wrongful payouts, lost business and internal staff costs.
