Faced with the growing demand for buying real estate in the residential area of Bashundhara in the capital, the country’s only complete real estate solutions provider, Bproperty, recently opened a new market in Bashundhara R / A.
A press meeting took place at the new market on Sunday, where Bproperty presented and discussed its data results and upcoming plans for the region.
This is the 8th Bproperty Marketplace in the capital, with others located in Mirpur, Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Banani, Rampura and two in Uttara.
According to Bproperty, the first three quarters of 2021 saw a significant influx of new announcements added to Bproperty’s website. Approximately 70,000 new Dhaka listings were added during this period, of which about 7.5% of all listings held for sale were from Bashundhara R / A alone.
Likewise, about 3% of all Dhaka rental properties that were added were from Bashundhara R / A. In addition, compared to the first three quarters of 2020, Bproperty saw demand for the purchase of real estate in the region increase by 243%, while the demand for rental of real estate increased by 74%. As of September 2021, the demand / supply ratio of real estate in Bashundhara R / A on the platform was 3: 1.

“When looking to buy or rent a property, people look for security, convenient access to basic necessities and supplies, and affordability. With respect to these factors, Bashundhara R / A ticks all the boxes; as a result, the area has become a very attractive location for real estate developers, buyers and tenants, ”said Mahzabin Chowdhury, Head of Marketing and Public Relations at Bproperty.
Explaining the idea behind the new market, she added, “We expect demand to increase even more in the coming years, which is why we have opened up our brand new market with a specific focus on this area.
Bproperty offers apartments, duplexes, plots and entire buildings currently listed in Bashundhara R / A. According to the most recent data from Bproperty, in the first three quarters of 2021 on the platform, 37% of the region’s housing seekers in 2021 have so far been looking for apartments between 1,001 and 1,500 square feet and about 19% had a preference for apartments less than 1,000 square feet, while 16% had a preference for apartments between 1,501 and 2,500 square feet.
In terms of room preference, almost 60% of people were looking for a 3-bedroom house. Additionally, around 36% of housing seekers in Bashundhara R / A with specified budget requirements want homes between Tk 50 lake and Tk 1 crore, and around 25% have a budget of Tk 1 crore to Tk 3 crore.
Around 8% of all real estate inquiries to Bproperty in the first three quarters of 2021 were for properties in Bashundhara R / A, further attesting to the strong demand for properties in the region.
Bashundhara R / A is also booming in the capital’s next mall. Commercial advertisements on the company’s website primarily include office space and stores for both sale and rental.
